Nor'easter Blackout Rescue
Last November, a brutal nor'easter slammed Shinnecock Hills with 60mph winds, snapping power lines like twigs. By midnight, every house on Meadow Lane was dark—including the Smith family's 1978 Cape Cod with their elderly mother on oxygen. The hospital's backup generators were straining under the load, and we got the call at 2AM.
Our crew rolled out with two 250kW diesel units before dawn, frost still crusting the truck beds. We had the Smiths' medical equipment humming by sunrise and kept Stony Brook Southampton's ER wing stable until LIPA restored grid power 18 hours later. Artie personally checked the fuel levels every 4 hours through the storm.
Your crew saved Mom's oxygen concentrator—lifesavers.
